In February, I experimented with new content forms, including voiceovers for Misaki Country Club videos, which involved scripting to save time and enhance visual components. I also introduced a new hobby, plants, using a game reaction video format for a plant repotting video. Here’s what I did differently in February:
February YouTube Update: New Content Forms and Learning Experiences
The first scripted YouTube short/reel was themed around romanticizing my life, while the second one was themed around the country course itself along with the amenities.
To script, I used a table format where on the left described what would be shown on screen, and on the right there was the voice over script. Although it took some time to set up, being more intentional about the end product saved me time on editing.
Introduced a new hobby, plants.
Rather than just, rather than a regular voice over. I wanted to edit my video like those game reaction videos where they’re looking at something on the screen and they’re recording themselves reacting to whatever’s on the screen. So I took that format and approach to me repotting my neon pothos and variegated ZZ.
That one I really enjoyed making, because it was fun and like very improv all of that, of which I said on those videos, were just improv, like me talking about plant care, what type of soil to use, the tools, to use propagation methods, whatever Like that was all improv. And to be quite honest, editing that was was was hard. It was difficult because it was like all over the place, and trying to make it into a concise video, like end product that took some work, that took some work, um, but it was a really great video.
Introduction to Dream Life Mind Map
Mind maps can is another way to visualize complex ideas or processes. Because my dream life will require me to be the best version of myself, I decided to center it around Gallup’s 5 elements of wellbeing, I added mental wellbeing, and my immediate, short, and long term goals.
