Instead of taking our honeymoon immediately after the wedding, we decided to make it extra special by celebrating our one-year anniversary with a dream trip to Japan and Korea. As an aspiring travel vlogger, I’ve been planning this adventure for months—mapping out the food spots, iconic landmarks, fun activities, and even how to get around.
Now that everything’s planned, Ill be sharing the travel vlogging gear I’m bringing and why.
Nikon Z5
Let’s start with my main camera: the Nikon Z5. This is my workhorse and main camera that I shoot videos with. It’s reliable and I trust it for capturing those breathtaking travel moments. I’ll also attach a microphone for better audio.

Insta360 Go
Next is my most unique camera: the Insta360 GO. This tiny, magnetic camera is a game-changer for POV shots. It’s the size of a thumb! Whether it’s stuck on a railing or mounted somewhere creative, it’s perfect for capturing unique angles that no other camera can without lugging around a tripod. Plus, the live preview feature makes it easy to frame shots on the go.

DJI Osmo Pocket
Camera number three is my trusty Osmo Pocket (first generation). Its built-in gimbal provides smooth, stable footage, which is great for vlogging while walking through busy streets or scenic spots.
Insta360 X3
The fourth camera I’m bringing is the Insta360 X3. With Japan and Korea’s bustling streets and crowded spaces, this compact 360-degree camera will shine. Its ultra-wide perspective and ability to switch viewpoints will help me capture immersive travel vlogs in tight spaces.
